Making ends meet can sometimes be challenging. Canadians work hard for the money they earn.  When they have to give part of that money to government they deserve to have it spent as responsibly as if they were spending it themselves.

It's this philosophy that I bring to the House of Commons.  It's also the primary reason behind many positions I have taken as a minister in government and as member of the official opposition.

Families constantly review their expenditures and there's no reason why government shouldn’t do the same.
